It was used to define the group of musicians above into a category of
rock.

Mudhoney
Green River
Mad Season
Temple of the Dog
Screaming Trees

Other Bands that are Worth Mentioning Related in some way to the
seattle scene

Zeke
Supersuckers
Fastbacks
Tad
Rockfords
Brad
Wellwater Conspiracy
Deranged Diction

The Mad Season and Temple of the Dog albums are insanely good. imo.

Mad Season is layne staley from AIC, Mike from PJ and uhh some other
people. Wicked good album.

Temple of the Dog is members of soundgarden/pearl jam. Also pretty good.

I never really got into mudhoney, green river or screaming trees.
Allthough the singles soundtrack has a pretty good variety of artists
from the seattle music scene on it (screaming tree, mother love bone etc..)
